HOW TO TEST THE SPIRITS
The Bible tells us to test the spirits to see if they are of God. And that test is to confess that Jesus came “IN THE FLESH”, which means the Son of God was a real human man. If they confess Jesus came in the flesh, they are of God, if they do not, they are of the Devil. And even MANY “professing” Christians, both deceive & self-deceived who claim to be of the Holy Spirit who leads into ALL truth, yet do not have the “love of the truth” who often even after facts are presented stubbornly continue believing lies and/or follow the traditions of men who are are simply “religious” church-club members who fail the test, and even neglect applying it, either because they do not “believe” it actually works (and it does without fail every single time), fear being shunned as being “unloving” or “un-Christlike, or perhaps even for fear they may themselves fail. The Apostle John called those who fails this test a “deceiver” & “antichrist”.
Here are ways those with the spirit of antichrist fail this test…
- By believing man is born with Original Sin (Inherited Depravity), thereby accusing Jesus, who, also being born as a man, of also being born sinful, otherwise it denies Jesus was a human descendant of Adam, Son of David, and Son of Man, born of the seed of the woman, as a fully human man, in the flesh. (Gnosticism/Catholicism/Reformed Protestantism/Calvinism)
- By believing in a “Jesus” who superhumanly overcame temptation as God or a hypostatic “Godman” hybrid, instead of as a truly fully human man made and tempted in ALL points as we are, Jesus who, even though he commands it, is impossible follow, to walk as he walked, because we cannot follow God. A “Jesus” who obeyed FOR us, who requires nothing but “believe”, who requires only “Faith Alone”. (Reformed Protestantism/Trinitarianism)
- Instead of believing God was manifest “IN” the flesh, speaking and working THROUGH His Son (John 14:10), one believes God was manifest “AS” flesh, that God IS his own Son, that Jesus IS his own Father, thereby denying the Father AND the Son. (Oneness/Trinitarianism)
- By denying that Jesus IS the child of the Holy Ghost (Matthew 1:18-20), that God IS the Holy Ghost/Holy Spirit (God is Holy, God is a Spirit) thereby denying both the Father AND the Son. (Trinitarianism)
- By rejecting Him as Lord & Savior, as the only way to the Father and/or the only name by which we may be cleansed & saved from our forsaken (repentant) sins. (Unbelievers)
- By believing in a tolerant and/or hippie version of “Jesus” who requires no ceasing of sin or fear of God (New Age Jesus), who is all about “love” and “only love” (love redefined as tolerance), often taught in New Age circles as “Christ Consciousness” emulating a “Jesus” who came to teach us to chase ours dreams and “Do What Thou Wilt”. (New Age/Apostate Christendom)
- By believing in a “Jesus” who promises to save us IN our unforsaken (unrepentant) sins, who obeys FOR us, rather than the true Jesus who saves us FROM our sins, by command we cease from ALL sin (repent), so that we may cleansed, born again, walk in the newness of life, following His example and obeying His command to “Go, and sin no more”. (The vast majority of “professing” Christians worship this “Saved IN Sin Jesus” aka Satan).
“Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.” ~1 John 2:22-23
“Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.” ~1 John 4:2-3
