DO YOU LIVE BY THE SPIRIT OR LETTER?

If we need to study scripture to know what sin and what it is not, it’s a sure sign we just have a “head knowledge” of what God requires and are being led by the Letter and not the Spirit, because it is the Holy Spirit who convicts of sin.

This is where the modern Judaizers like Torah Observants / Hebrew Roots make their grave error, following after the Letter instead of the Spirit. Torah Observants follow Torah by walking after the Letter. Christians follows Christ by walking after the Spirit.

The Law points to Christ, Christ points to the Spirit.

“Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster. For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.” ~Galatians 3:24-26

“Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid! Yea, we establish the law.” ~Romans 3:31

“Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners” ~1 Timothy 1:9
